How do the private language lessons work?
When you pass certain milestones in your course, you will be asked to choose a time from a calendar that best suits you for your private lesson.
Private lessons consist of reading exercises, role play games and dialogues with your teacher who will help you to improve your pronounciation.
Furthermore your teacher will answer your questions regarding German A1 level and repeat all of the grammar that you encountered in the course so far.
Your teacher oversees your learning progress and helps you with any topics that might be difficult for you.
Do I receive support in case I have questions?
You can contact your teacher anytime using the ‘contact the teacher’ button in the course or you can write an email. You will receive a response to your question within 24h.
You can also ask your teacher questions in your private lessons to get direct feedback.
When will I receive my German A1 certificate?
If you enroll in the ‘Standard’ or ‘Premium’ course, you will do an exam to assess your reading, listening, writing and speaking skills at the end of the course.
When you have passed the exam you will receive an official German A1 certificate of the German Academy Zurich.
For customers enrolled in the ‘Basic’ course package, we can’t offer a German A1 certificate as we think that without lessons to practice speaking you will not be able to pass the necessary examination.

Will I get a letter of enrollment for my visa or permit renewal?
We provide our students with a letter of enrollment for the course of our language school within 24h after the purchase. With this letter you can prove your enrollment in a German course to the Swiss authorities.
This letter of enrollment is necessary for visa applications of non-eu citizens and for the renewal of B and C permits in Switzerland.
